What should I do? The Pro is my main computer and it's super annoying! I'm a law student, printing is essential! (Side rant: It's not like Apple makes printers, I don't know why this happens with third party hardware every time Apple updates its OS.) Interestingly, I also have a Macbook Air running Big Sur 11.2.3 and a slightly older driver (Epson 10.62) and it works fine.for now, as does AirPrinting from my iPhone or iPad. Reconnected the printer to the network, that's all working fine Tried using a generic driver and Gutenprint Tried to add the printer using its IP address instead of Bonjour Reinstalled the latest drivers (Epson 10.85 - which now crashes before installation is complete - I have the error log if that helps anyone) Removing and attempting to re-add the printer in System Preferences (I get an "Unable to verify printer on the network due to an error" message, and if I continue anyway, I get "Unable to communicate with printer at this time") Restarting Mac, router and printer including in safe mode I have been through every trouble shooting step there is to add it back: Suddenly, my Epson ET-2750 printer disappeared. Recently I upgraded to Big Sur 11.5.2 on my 2019 Macbook Pro. I am out of options at this point.Īny ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Ĭan't print to Epson ET-2750 on Big Sur 11.5.2 I am going insane over this. I am more inclined to think it is related to the OS X update and not the new router. I tried reinstalling the printer, but that failed midway through the process. This is when I was able to add it as an IP printer. I have reset the printing system and unsuccessfully tried the add the printer as an AirPrint device. So, I don't think the problem is there, but I can't be 100% sure. The printer is in my list of devices on my Xfinity network. I can setup IP printing and that works just fine from Mac, but, of course, I am unable to print from my mobile devices. The printer is connected to the new new router on the 2.4 network, but for whatever reason it is always OFFLINE when I try to use it or just look for it. Two things have changed which may have caused this issue: there was an OS X update and I also updated my Xfinity router. using the MacBook wirelessly, as I usually do.)Įpson WF-2650 and Bonjour AirPrint Has anyone else seen this? Recently, my Epson WF-2650 connected to my iMac running Big Sur 11.3.1 stopped printing using the Bonjour Multifunction connection. I wouldn't think it should matter, but I tried connecting my MacBook Pro via an Ethernet cable to the same router that the AirPort Express is (wirelessly) connected to.I used "Network Mode: Join a wireless network." (Which is how I had it set when I was printing just fine from my old Windows machine.) I tried resetting my AirPort Extreme (via AirPort Utility) and reconfiguring it.And then re-adding the Epson printer (and a wireless HP printer as well). I tried Printers & Scanners > Right-click on the printer > Reset Printing System.I believe this rules out any issues with either the Epson print drivers or the USB cable. If I connect my MacBook Pro directly to the printer via the same USB cable, it prints just fine. Now I'm trying the same approach for the first time with my MacBook Pro, and it's not working. Previously, I was able to print to my Epson printer via USB from my AirPort Express, from a Windows 10 machine (that's now dead). While it's in the queue, it shows a status of "Printing - Connected to a printer." A document from, say, MS Word, just sits in the queue but doesn't print. But when I send a test page to the printer it sits in the print queue for a while, and then after about 5 minutes it disappears from the queue, without printing. My MacBook seems to "see" the printer just fine! For example, Printers & Scanners > Epson Printer > Options & Supplies > Supply Levels shows all the various ink levels. I'm unable to print wirelessly from my MacBook Pro (Catalina 10.15.7) through an AirPort Express (2nd gen) that's connected to my Epson Stylus Pro 3880 printer via USB.
